This difference in depth makes the new GlobalSat much more suitable for slipping in a pocket, without unsightly bulges. GlobalSat BT-359 Bluetooth GPS Receiver

Looking at the images to the right you can see that most of the GPS receiver is not electronic wizardry, but is actually the battery. Indeed if you have a coated windscreen you will vsat to position the GPS in the rear window to obtain satellite reception. The power connector is very conveniently a mini USB connector.

This is a shade less than the low power GlobalSat BT Navigation Gestures Customizable gesture control for any Android device.

Also the range from the GPS is about what you would expect for a good bluetooth device. It is also compatible with all of the GPS software that I have tried.

GlobalSat has responded with a receiver gsah in my opinion is better than the BT in all aspects with the exception of battery power, but who needs more than 15 hours anyway? I know it is possible with a globalsat BT from a tutorial i found online google “globalsat arduino” i cant post the link yet, bot restriction i bt359. Is your gTablet stock?


GlobalSat quote it as 11 hours continuous usage. I did not think it would weigh what it does.

If the receiver does not detect a connection then it will automatically power itself off after 10 minutes of inactivity. Bf-359 for you information.

I have used BlueGPS with it and had no issues. The google navigation app worked very well with the combination.

Both of the devices are the same width, but the BT is almost half the depth of the BT The device paired with the viewsonic gtab without issue. When I select the device to connect, it says it will be unpaired, with no other options. No trouble pairing, won’t connect.
